The hooks behind the seat hide the screws holding in the plastic air vents and are designed to be used with special honda seat back pockets.

When I had the radio out recently I had to lift the console cover up to get the facia back, the clips were bending badly and this was easier, but the cover over the cupholder doesn't slide so easily now. Bugger.
