Hi all, I've just joined having picked up my first (new) bright red S2 GT last week - what a gorgeous car - any tips on running in.....

 

Probably best to hand it over to an experienced S2000 driver to run it in. These are very very sensitive cars. I'm free to do this for you if no one else offers.

Stick the the manufacturers recommendations..Or do a search on the topic..

 

Don't vtec it for 600 miles but do put the engine under load, ie full throttle at reasonable revs in 3rd and 4th gear. Then do another 400 miles gradually increasing the rev limit.

Then do a trackday. Worked wonders for mine.

There also just happens to be an S2ki trackday coming up......could be just the time to finish off the running in, learn how the car handles and have a go on the wet grip.
