Default Help ! - buzzing noises on a 2002 model when decelerating...

I now have 1100 miles on the clock and have been VTECing a lot since 650 or so. I get a loud buzzing noise when decelerating from about 8000 rpm - it stops around 3500 - 4000. This has only started today...

I have read the posts about getting a new clutch fitted (TSB 055), however I thought that 2002 models had this modification already.

Is it possible that a heat shield has worked its way loose - any ideas ?????

The car is due in this week for a free 1000 mile check - should I mention TSB055 ??.

This is not the standard "replace with the -055" clutch problem as that occurred at 3,500 rpm. The transmission is noisy (after all you're sat just a few inches from it!) but it could of course be a heat shield problem. If it were mine, I would get the dealer to check it out.

Check Oil...
