help with imobiliser!

Default help with imobiliser!

I have taken my car in for repair, I had a minor bump the garage repairing it cant get the car started my question is if the battery is disconnected do you need to reprogram the keyfob/imobiliser i'd have a look in the handbook if it was in front of me, but unfortunatley it is at home. + the garage cant move it moment to start fixing it. It is my99. any help would be greatley appreciated.

No they won't need reprogramming, you will probably find that it has a flat battery, hence won't start.

The battery is fully charged. but you press the indented button on the keyfob and the indicators dont flash!

HAs the car started since the bump? If not the interter switch has probably been tripped (located on the driverside kickpanel, small black box reach up and press the plunger located on top)

Failing that a flat keyfob battery or a blown alarm PCB

Probably not that then, do other electrics work, stereo etc ??

As above, flat key fob battery ??

The car started fine and i drove it to the garage i have taken spare keyfob which also does not workand the battery has also been replaced inside fob. I know on some cars if the battery goes flat you have to re-teach the keys. its the only thing i can think of. ive had no problems in the past.

all other electrics work fine the key engages the ignition and it lights up but the green key icon does not illuminate.

Hi mate I had the same when my battery died, it needed a new alrm PCB or main board whatever that was?
