They have quoted £633.94 all in for genuine honda parts and fitting i suppose that is ok then
Hi, If they are going to replace both lower arms would you mind if I had the old arms? The reason being,I am thinking of offering re-bushed(polybush) arms on an exchange basis, for just such occasions as this. They will be a lot cheaper than the OEM Honda ones.

I believe the arms, even without bushes have a value if they are intact - for this very reason.

They may need to be cut off though.

A fixed price fitting is a good thing for this job. I had a fixed price when mine got done at 6 hours labour. The actual labour was more like 20 hours

Happy for you to come nad collect them where abouts are you based ? - FYI offside arm is slightly bent and bushes are starting to perish on both sides

If you do want them can I ask that you pick them up sooner rather than later as I have nowhere to store them in my flat

Guys another quick question, mechanic just called and said the driver side has seized and mentioned if he need to cut off he will need to buy another part some rubber tube or something is that the case ? Or is there a workaround ?

If it's a compliance bush you'll need a new bolt and sleeve - £60+ from Honda, no way round it unfortunately

Sounds like he is planning a bodge job

If he has to cut the bolt, chances are that he won't be able to remove the bolt from the bush ...... which will mean a new bush or arm.

The bushes are part of the arms which are being replaced anyway so no bodge job

I sometimes get confused with these type of threads, but why exactly are you changing the front lower arms?

Did you pop over to your mechanic to have the alignment done and was then advised that one or more of the bolts was damaged?

Did you have an off?

When one of my compliance bolts was seized I swapped a Mugen one in there for about £50

£633 seems a lot of expense to replace a seized bolt. You'll also have to get the car aligned after - another £100 or so.

Hope it all works out
