Default Help re. Tuning, injectors and Good Tuners

Hi There

Hope this is the right forum for requesting help. I have had my S2 Turbo back after engine rebuild and remapping.

The tuning company told me that the fuel injectors on it are far too small and that the S2 engine is capable of far higher tuning capability. The current remap graphs are attached.
I also had a note from the tuning company about this, as follows:

*PLEASE NOTE the car is reliant on the meth to help with the fuel quantity as the injectors are not really big enough. we have already raised the fuel pressure from 3 bar to 4.5 to try.

Yes, the S2 has an ethanol /water mixture kit fitted a while ago.
Please can you help / advise re. the following:

What make and model fuel injectors would be good for the S2? / I would like to get the largest ones I can to utilise the S2 engine's potential

What does it mean in the note, "the car is reliant on the meth to help with the fuel quantity as the injectors are not really big enough"
Does this mean the S2 has been remapped to use more ethanol to supplement the lack of fuel going into the piston chambers?

i would like to get uprated / large injectors fitted and the S2 retuned; please can you suggest excellent remap companies with a great reputation (I am in Coventry, West Midlands but would be willing to take a day out and travel beyond)

Lastly, I struggle to find good garages locally that are really versed with working on stage 3 modified S2s. Please suggest reputable, friendly and competent garages around Coventry and beyond.

I know that some of you are really well verse with working on your modified S2s; I would be willing to pay for your time to work on my S2 - just message me to link up

Appreciate your assistance.

I would probably sus out the UK&I Subforums and ask the same question there.

Injector Dynamics is a great brand out of the US for Injectors, have used their products for many years.

You should chat to AJ

It really depends on what boost you are running with your turbo but even at low boost I believe you will need bigger injectors otherwise you will not get enough fuel and will run lean - that's why they are increasing your fuel pressure

That might be why you are running methanol too - to prevent det

If you run lean you risk saying bye to your motor and that is a lot more expensive than a tune and bigger injectors

I run, I think, 750/800cc on moderate boost for just under 400hp, 11-12psi SC

The bigger you go the shitter your idle will probably be

RE: Bolded part, not necessarily true. Tuner should be able to handle that easy. my GDA WRX had ID2000 Injectors with E85 and idle was as good as OEM.

You can't really get E85 in the UK unless you sell your kids for it

But I get your point. They have a mini open time and then will typically be more fuel than you need as no boost.
