Has anyone had any experience of dealing with honda-uk as advertised on autotrader. I believe they are located in st albans. They sell parallel import s2ks. If anyone has bought from here, can you answer me the following:

1) Did it come with a proper alarm.

2) Was the car delivered within the period specified for delivery.

3) Were there any problems.

4) Would you buy from them again.

5) Are dealers relunctant to carry out warranty work, is bad service given to parallel cars etc.

Unrelated to the above, if i were to order a parallel import s2k would it be best to await another month when the 2005 model is available?

It may be an insurance issue, as in it could make a difference as I don't think you'll have any trouble getting any, but the money you save could help offset that!

Others will know better.

It's worth making sure you know the difference between a JDM import and a UK spec car bought in the EU market as new. The latter should be no different to the Honda UK cars for insurance and resale reasons.

 

I think this is the same firm that used to be in Ilkley, Yorks, ie Nick Emanuel, selling parallel imports from Holland and Belgium.
If so,
1. Came with cobra cat 1 alarm. (different to one bought from a UK dealer).
2. Car arrived around 2 months later than specified.
3. No other problems.
4. Possibly, but if I was to import, I might do it myself next time dependent on costs.
5. No problem with the dealer I use.
