220rwhp? Thats pretty damn good.. are you sure thats correct? Esp since you mentioned that the car is a little lean!

We generally go by the rule of 16-18% transmission loss, best case scenario 220RWHP = 259BHP (please note the difference between RWHP and BHP, BHP is at the Flywheel, RWHP is at the rear wheels. Manufactures always release their figures for horse power at the flywheel)

UK Spec S2000 make 237BHP and JDM ones produce 247BHP, looking at yours its a UK spec so you're looking at 22hp above stock for a 9 year old car?

Where did you go again for the dyno?

Turtle's image is correct, especially the 2nd part. Lots of rear toe means that the rear doesn't slide around.

Judging by the very non-symmetric job Bodmin tyres have done, I wouldn't recommend going there.
They did what they could with my slightly bent Cat D

and it drives stright with no bump steer.
cant see 1st image? care to share? just got back from rollers. abit sceptical about wheel hp? making 220@ wheels. with a 23hp loss through tranmission???? so 243at crank. torque is abit down 145ft-lbs running a tad lean but nothing to be concerned about. only figures end of the day. as long as i know its fueling right thats all what matters. drives nice on road

im only going by the figures what ive got. will post sheet up later. dyno was on a dyno jet 1. my sis took her vxr220 turbo on with a stage 2 tune now. and s2000 was making more power then hers. but she had some probs with charge temps on rollers. then he did another test said it was making 243hp/245 at crank. personally i would of thought it would make more transmision losses as im running 18's with 255 rear. but its only showing a loss of 23hp through the transmision? as i said before there only figures end of the day. the car go well on road.ive been to enough rolling roads in my time. and have seen upto 20 hp differeance. main thing as i said was fuelling and its fuelling good

Just ignore the crank figures!

It's useful for pub talk and that's about all. Bench dyno is the only accurate means of flywheel figure.

What's a bench dyno?and where can you get it done?

Took my s to surrey rolling road and got 228.9 at flywheel and 191.9 at wheels. Would like to see what I would get on a bench dyno.

You will have to remove your engine then!

As I said, flywheel figures are pretty useless, unless you suspect you have some drivetrain issues which are reducing your wheel hp.

I am making it my aim to stop people talking about flywheel figures

Dynos are inaccurate enough (in the wrong hands) without throwing drivetrain loss into the equation.

Oh lol. Won't do that one then. I thought it was gonna be like the one where they take your wheels off and bolt the machine to your hubs.

Nope that's a hub dyno

Useful for removing issues such as anchoring the car down and tyre slip, which can affect dyno readings.
