Default How to remove handbrake cable from caliper?

I'm swapping out my caliper for a new unit as its siezed. Im having trouble getting the handbrake cable released from the caliper. Everything else is off, this is the last thing to do. The car has been stood for 5years in a barn so it could be just rusted in and might require a harder whack of a hammer but thought id check here before giving that a go. Has anyone got any advice or piccys? There is an L braket with a hole where the cable passes through. Is there a circlip there or anything like that?

Thanks for any help

Dead easy, undo the two 12mm bolts and remove the bracket and simply slide off the cable your new calipers will not have this bracket anyway so swap them over to the new ones..

IIRC theres a cover that you have to remove first to access the 12mm bolts, 2 10mm bolts for that.

Thankyou for your help. The new caliper came with a new bracket. I just removed it and reused the old bracket which worked a treat. Now I have to swap out the front left caliper.
