Yup, rang 2 different dealers and both quoted me €189+vat so they said €240 approx. That's why Ireland is known as the 'rip off republic'.

When I was staying in Westport everyone there blamed it on entry to the Euro (a long time ago I know).

Is that your experience mate?

Ah, Just in general everything is overpriced in this country when compared to the UK and The States and Canada where i lived for a year recently. The main thing you would notice is the cost of alcohol and food.
