Default humming

Hi guys,

Read about this a few times on the forums but not sure as to the cause.Had the car serviced with diff and gearbox oil changed also front lower wishbones replaced as bushes were screwed. Now i seem to have a humming, droning noise at all speeds regardless of the clutch in or out. I am hoping its not the diff or anything major like that. My only hope is that as i have'nt had the geometry done since the wishbones were replaced although the garage said they put everything as close to the previous settings as poss. The geometry was done a few weeks before the wishbones were replaced so i know it was previously spot on. Could it be that if the geo is slightly out (this is front not rear) that a big increase in road noise could be the cause?

Airbox cover? Taking it off gives a much better induction noise but you get a whine/drone that's noticeable at idle ...

No, the airbox cover is on at the moment. Idid take it off and got a humming sound which is similar to what i'm getting but it did'nt do this noise before the service and the only things changed are the diff oil, gearbox oil and the fact the geo has'nt been done on the front, though it does feel fine and i know how bad it can feel when geo is out. This does'nt happen when the car is not moving Still hope the geo could be the cause of the noise though.
