Default Injector help

Hi all,

Just removed my RC750 injectors to put the OEM ones back in, but just checking the seals can be used on the OEM injectors. I'm talking about the ones which seat into the engine side, rather than the fuel rail.

They are a double O ring type on the RC750s and I suspect they are too big to be OEM ones...

The standard ones are a like a solid single rubber band.

Is that even tight on the injector? It doesn't look like it.

Looks like there is a rubber cylinder, and another bit?

The top fuel rail seal on mine is ok so not going to replace those.

Should be still on the car?!

When I fitted my ID1000 it used the standard seals + extra seat.. Don't RCs do the same?

There are 2 seals for the oem injector, both are one peice solid rubber. IIRC one of them is thicker than the other and you have to buy different ones for aftermarket injectors.

A honda dealer can easily get hold of these, when i replaced mine i fitted new seals to all four injectors. as they have a knack of leaking upon removal.

The other bit (on the right of the pic) looks like it's already on the injector in your pic. I didn't realise it was a seperable part.

So there's just the big seal to go in the inlet manifold, and the small o-ring at the top.

When I had mine cleaned and tested, they came with all new seals, so you could always do that (if the originals are old) instead of just buying the seals. But I've replaced mine lots of times and they've never leaked. You're meant to put clean engine oil round the seal BTW.

Yep it looks like I just need the top hat which goes intp the manifold.

I was going to send them away for testing, just to rule out any gremlins.

Who did you use, Dave?

These chaps seem to offer a decent service...
