If the other party has admitted liability, why not just get in touch with their insurers and claim off their policy rather than claim off your own?

If you do claim off your own, they should then recover the excess on your behalf as an uninsured loss.

The only downside to claiming off their policy rather than yours is that it might take longer to get it sorted.

If you have legal expenses cover (although it sounds like you don't) you need to refer your claim to them, and they'll take care of everything. I was in a similar situation to you, and all I had to do was take my car to a local bodyshop where I picked up my hire car, and two days later returned it and picked up me newly repaired car.

However, if you don't have that cover, you'll need to contact the other drivers' insurer (quote the policy number oft he person who hit you, and they'll probably send you a form.

Well at the time of the accident the girl said she wasn't paying attention and didn't see me behind her,or going around her.(my cars yellow?)She stood and said it was all her fault. The prang unfortunately happened in an industrial estate so i had no witnesses, and i have no idea how the girl has described the accident to her insurer.

Ask your insurer to see if they will waive the excess as they will be claiming the lot from the other party anyway. Sometimes they will.
