First year I had my S I insured with Elephant, following year I got a better quote from Admiral, last year I made a big saving by going back to Elephant.

It is the same company FFS.

Where's Jaeger when you need him

If you have a look in the Useful info link at the top of the forum you should see the Insurance comparison thread - it has a table of what various people pay.

Hey GSI, thanks, aren't Mr Carribine's mate? I am the guy who's S got written off by the dealer. I am just awaiting the paper work for my replacement car (some 5mths later!). I got a reasonable deal in the end on a youger car in blue. I ended up driving the demo car for 4months!

Thanks, saw that link but could not get to it from work, will try later at home.

Cheers

Yep thats me

Still waiting on a replacement ... blimey thats taken a while

If you've looked around then it's unlikely you'll suddenly find any a lot cheaper, I guess it depends primarily on your circumstances, but also on what insurance companies are on a mission to win business when you look.

Over the past couple of years the ones that I have found the best are:

Elephant on a bonus accelerator plan
Tesco (although they went up this year)
Frizell - current supplier and chosen by a few here.

I don't think that there are any S2k specialists, but Adrian Flux have been a good 'smaller' company in the past.

Good luck.

BTW I hope you have stuck with a decent colour..

I've just bought an S2000, but have 2 months left to run on my insurance policy with Tesco. I had an Impreza turbo before which they insisted had a tracker. I now have a car worth twice as much, in a higher insurance group and they don't need a tracker. Infact adding a tracker made no difference to the premium.

I've done a few quotes and its

Frizzell would not insure me as you have to be 30 on a S2k and I am 27. :-( So Admiral it is then.

Gsi, as for the car. I basically got a same colour car, 1 year younger car, with the hardtop, 18K miles less, free first service, tax, all for
