Absolutely most high revving engines will benefit from a long tube intake, problem is fitting it in.

Funny that ford has a zetec producing 180bhp from a 1.6, Honda did that and more over 15years ago lol.

Ford had 1600 engines running over 200 bhp (BDA & FVA)in the late 60's admittedly they were tunned versions of the cortina engine so not your average comutamobile.

Short stack is better for high rpm.

However, long stack offers better mid range and doesn't lose too much up top.

F20C has plenum so it doesn't really matter about your filter tube length too much. Certainly not over getting cold air in
