Default Interior Light

Hi sorry if this has been posted - i did search

My interior light when on 'door' mode (in the middle) doesn't go out at all just stays on in all circumstances... New thing only started happening last week..

Any ideas? There was talk of a light/dark sensor but I doubt it in the s..

Thanks

TKL

1st daft check. Aswell as the door/on slide button there are the 2 'map light' buttons for left and right. These work on the same bulbs so if they are both on it will overide the door slide button.

Other than that check the actual door switch. I've not looked for it but is there a push switch in the door frame like most cars. Just push it in and out a few times with your finger if its stuck on.

EDIT: was going to say there are no other electric involved but since the lights do come on when you press the alarm fob to open the doors I guess there are some other electronics involved that could go wrong. Can't help you there.

If you say it started happening all week, how come your battery hasn't run out by now?

I've occasionally caught the door switch & bent it, causing the same.

You have to bend it straight & irritate it so it doesn't stick.
