Default Light Switch Beeper

I noticed a couple of times ive left the headlights on when getting out of the car. Now every Honda ive owned has had the beeper that sounds when you get out and leave the lights on. Surely this car has one too?

If it does, obviously mines not working, where do I start to get to the source of the problem?

Thanks,

Ben

Maybe the door switch ? Do your interior lights come on or the "keys still in ignition" alarm work ?

I actually have the interior light turned off, could it be linked to that! I will try it with that switched on, would be surprised if it is that though that it works with it and its not its own thing

I see from your profile yours is a year 2000 car, you need to be asking like for like as there may not be one fitted on the older cars, mine does but it is a facelift model.

Nah, it wouldn't be related to the light being turned off but it will let you know if the car is sensing your door being opened.

I'd defo check the door switches in the first instance - took me ages to find mine as I was actually looking on the door, in the door jamb everywhere other than the obvious

If mine has one, it's never worked. The door switches certainly do.
