Thanks for the circuit diagram, Chuck.

I think the fault must be in the keyless door lock unit, as the door open indicator comes up whenever I open a door.

Just the lights don't come on, until I insert/remove the key from the ignition.

Where is the keyless unit stowed? Perhaps when the driver's door actuator was replaced, the connection may have been disturbed?

It was the door switch, of course!

Quite how I got it into my head that the dash indicator showed up is beyond me!

A quick check this morning, in the clear light of day, and a twiddle of the door switch plunger showed the root cause.

A moment or two with a screwdriver and some WD40; problem solved!
