Intermediate Service?
This is probably a question that has been asked a million times, and I have done a search but got board of looking!
So my question is, should I have the intermediate service done? I don't thrash the car all the time and it has never been on a track day, but what worries me is when it comes to selling will it effect the value of the car?
Cheers
Andy

You mean the oil change at 4,500, 13,500 etc etc miles? No - I wouldn't bother. The service manual makes it clear that its optional so I can't see that an absence of stamps in those boxes will make any difference to resale value.
If I were intending to p/x the car after 3 years I wouldn't bother
If I were intending to hanging on to the car I would. Simple fact is that the more frequent the oil is changed the longer the engine will last

I changed the gearbox oil at 9000 miles and I found it did make a difference. The S's gearbox can be a little fragile (I had a new one fitted under warranty at circa 3k miles as have many others here) and I wanted to make my gearchanges feel as smooth as poss.
