Default Ipod with 2003 HU

Hi Guys
There is so many postings on ipods, and i have searched shed loads of them, but couldn't find anything definate for what info i need.

Just bought an ipod and want to attach it to the S HU. It is a honda 2003 model HU and therefore no cd changer, but it does have an aux button. I would like to control it with the dash controls to flick thru tunes or playlists but not worried about seeing the info displayed. What do i need?? I have seen this cable on ebay -

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HONDA-iPod-Link-Inte...1QQcmdZViewItem

Does anyone have one tried and tested as ok or is there another simple product available for my type of HU.

Thanks for an advice. Much appreciated.

I've got one of those and its very good. You can use the CH button to change skip tracks but that's about all it does. You can't skip through playlists and you obviously don't get the track information on the display on the head unit.

I've got one too, they are great for the money, however as you say, that model needs to plug into the CD changer connection, and if you don't have it, it wont work.

Try contacting the seller on eBay, they can tell you if they have something that will work.

Presumably the Alpine full speed cable doesn't work with these as I have a spare one to sell - my HU won't let me hook two ipods up!

I suspect it won't work although pleased to be corrected!

Anyone know whether connection at the back of Honda unit is the same as the Alpine and would work?

Got my Ipod interface thingy connected. Works fine. It allows me to control volume and flick from track to next track with the channel. The display on the HU shows nothing of any relevance though, but who cares. If i don't like the song, flick it on!! It also charges the Ipod as well. I'm happy with it.
