Hi Fergus,

So far I've had the top down nearly all the time once it's not actually raining, which is getting me some very funny looks sitting on the M50 with the heating on full blast. But sure thats half the fun of a convertable with the irish weather it's almost like a game of chicken lol.

As for surprising me, every time I get into to car I'm surpised how much it is teaching me! but the nature of it's power delivery is so different to anything I've driven before is making me take my time and hopefully I'll be in good shape to fully enjoy it when the summer comes around again.

Hi Jonner,

Thanks for the welcome and for the advice!! With quite of few of you well seasoned guys warning me about the s2k in the wet I'll take it as sound solid advice and take my time.

I was in touch with LTB this morning about the Euro meet and he told me I should register with the Italian S2k owners club as we are trading in euros.

But I'm trying to figure out time off work which i should know about in the next day or 2. Hopefully I'll be sound to make the trip as it sound like a great idea

It'll be a good spin alright I might make a week or ten days out of it, but there's plenty of time to worry about the details.

Excellent, a Paddy's thread!

For the gang in Cork, who do you use to service your cars? I'm using main Honda dealer Johnson & Perrott in Mahon Point. Have got to the guys in service very well, too well! I've paid for a lot of bonuses there over the past two years.

Thing is I have decided that i want to keep my car long term but I put up a lot of miles and was looking to see if any of you knew of a Honda mechanic or specialist that would work on an S2000.

It's booked in for a service tomorrow with JPMG and I'm having them replace the roof seals which were perished (have taken nearly 3 weeks to order by the way, why does EVERYTHING take so long to order for this car?!), and also to run a diagnostic on my O2 sensor which I reckon is buggered as I am having the stalling and low idle problems allied to drastically reduced fuel consumption.

At the moment I reckon the clutch is on the way out. Any recommendations there?

Then I spit my rear screen at the weekend but have seen philss2000's report on this on importing a new roof from the US.

Any recommendations appreciated! Thanks.
Hey Rebel Red

I know its far from cork but if in dublin id bring your S2000 to the tuning factory just off the naas road, they really know honda engines inside and out, i had my mine there and they where way cheaper than a main dealer and put higher grade oil and uprated sprake plugs in
