Anybody have recommendations for a good Tyre place around south Dublin?

I need a set of rears, getting close to the markers and if there is any snow/ice in the next few weeks I might be doing too much spinning for my liking (although at the moment its good fun at roundabouts!) Bought from camskills the last time and got them fitted but if there was some place handy locally that could do it for around the same price then I would be happy to give them my business. Currently have Eagle F1's on the back so will go with them again or the Bridgestone Potenza if they can be got.

See the recent posts on here about the replacement hoods from the guy in Swansea, very cheap, £260 or so fitted. Just your ferry and time to head over then on top of that. Still much much cheaper, plus they are a long and complicated fit for someone who hasnt done so before, i checked this all out last summer when replacing mine and drove over to England for a new one to be fitted.

Been reading that alright, did you get them to do it for you?

Darren,

Try Monsoon Car HoodsThey will ship a Mohair softtop over for about £350 IIRC.
I drove over to have them fit mine and I think Spike did also.

Hoods.... I actually went over to Monsoon to have mine replaced, first class product and service, but a long drive, especially the M25 motorway which was just a carpark the afternoon i was coming back. Price was around £750 fully fitted for an original twillweave or whatever its called hood, better job than vinyl or mohair in my and their opinion and keeps the car original of course.
Worth giving that place in Swansea a shout though, at £260 inc fitting its a fantastic price and much easier to get at.

Paul.

260 does seem like a great price and wouldn't be too much of a roadtrip to get to.

I think it was £650 fitted IIRC. I can't get my head around how anyone could supply and fit them for £260 giving how labour intensive that task is. I spoke to Monsoon about a group buy for us Irish and they will send someone over to fit them if the numbers are high enough. They also don't mind splitting it with MX 5 owners if needs be.

What kind of numbers would they need?
