I don't think its an AP2.. Just the facelift model. The Ap2 is only the 2.2 litre engine... AFIK..

Jonner, you should know better than that

AP2 being the '04+ S2Ks?
With AP1 being 99-03?

When did Irish/UK cars get the 2.2L?
Stuff online shows AP2 being 04-06 - and says that this had the 2.2L?
Yep 04 onwards i think.....Dont know bout the 2.2 end of things though....

Nice Ap2 mate

Only the US models had a 2.2 litre engine so they can pass the emissions. I think this was from the first s2ks to be brought out in the states in 2000. Afaik they only rev to 8400rpm to prevent to high a piston speed and conrods snapping. The differences in the Ap1/Ap2 is the head and tail lights, some interior parts and some suspension geo differences to make them more driver friendly

Nope, afaik, the first S2000s in the US were 2L also - until 04.

I'm pretty sure Europe got the 2.2L later though no?

That shows 2.2 from 2005...? It also lists up to '05 as an AP1 also - just with another couple of letters first.

Theres only a handful of 2.2's in Europe as they were only for the US market I think the only one at Euromeet was Mcheizers from Germany

Nice facelift Quoi, AP2 doesn't mean 2.2. Only the yanks and Japland got them.

Anyways passed a 06 Berlina Black otw to Waterford on Wednesday, gave a beep but not sure if it was returned as i had the music up...a lot Then saw a 99 (WX maybe) Silverstone with the hood down in Kilkenny on Sat, i was just strolling on the sidewalk as the car was behind the Brog Maker. The '06 is the newest S i've seen in Ireland.

Oh and on a final note all my driving the trip clock is saying i've done 560km to a full tank, that should be around 33mpg!!!! Need to take it to a petrol station later in the week, hope it'll start

Time to post up all my sightings I think..

99 Silverstone - was back in 1999 one of the doctors (large middle eastern man with the hood down - quite the sight!) in Navan Hospital had one, I was still in school.. going down for lunch and he vtec'd past.. thats where the fascination started!

In the last few weeks:

Year Colour \ Reg Location

99 SS \ D Baldoyle
99 SS \ D Howth (Probably same as above one, mugen(?) front bumper)
99 SS \ ? Carlow
99 MCB \ CW Carlow
?? GPW \ ? Trim-Batterstown road, Meath
00 MCB \ ? Drogheda
01 MCB \ D Harington St. Dublin
04 SS \ D Navan Road Dublin (Only one I have driven past in my own S)
04 BB Johnstown Navan, Meath
07 SS or MR \ ? Drogheda

Probably a few more but thats all I can remember!

What do you call a gallon? I use 4.75L?
And the tank is 45L right?

By that you've gotten over 36Mpg?
