The IRISH Thread
Given that this is the Irish thread, a MY05 has caught my eye and I'm thinking of booking an Easyjet flight to go and have a look (from London)
I've spoken to the dealer a couple of times and an offer to have the car shipped to Gatwick will be included in the agreed price. Mileage apart, it does seem like a good deal - my only concern is paying the money upfront and then relying on the dealer to ship the car.
If I pay the full amount with a credit card what protection does that afford me?
The dealer has faxed me the service history (ex lease car) the vehicle test certificate and the log book.
Any advice?

In relation to petrol - I think both the Shell(Topaz)("Clean Unleaded") and Maxol(E5 - now standard in Maxol Unleaded) fuels contain 5% Bio Ethanol. This raises the octane levels somewhat making it similar to Super Unleaded/98Octane.
However, ethanol is also harsher on your injectors as injectors in non-bio-fuel cars were not designed for its use.
From what I hear though, the 5% should be ok.
The proper BioEthanol fuel (E85) would be too harsh though.
I try to only fill up in Topaz and Maxol for the above reason.
