He didn't state you were implying he was lying. He asked the question if that was what you were inferring.

Your post stated "Chris would not have been offered".

If you want to continue this argument, do so in PM please.

Thanks
sorry budgie if misinterpreted, and sorry chris as Mod, i will read though tommorow...it does not help when posts have been edited after statement made!

Chris - you will have been able to get that deal.

But HB is right. The dealer will have been taking a hit.

Do a search ( I say that a lot huh ) - the reason is documented.
... suspected engine faults?

Anyhow, am I the only cynic who thinks there is no merit in Honda Jp informing the world about the nature of failure?

It is a VERY un-Japanese thing to do.
I suspect they will blame a supplier and ask them to fall on their sword at best.
But most likely you won't hear another peep about this whole sorry saga.

Gaxxy - if you do a GB on the wheel can you let me know - Mr CJ hasn't stopped going on about the bloody thing since seeing it at Euro Meet. Thankfully I've convinced him not to buy one off Ebay and put it on himself

Sorry - back to the topic

CJ don't do that as it won't fit as per the WTB thread

What was the stupid shaped steering wheel we had on a British car once, was it the Austin Princess?

No idea why you want to replicate that tbh.
If it's leg room you require just fit the Backyard Special lower seat rails.

LOL, thanks Simon.
Hideous and I would imagine a lot of issues on a track or circuit.

Back to topic though, sorry for the divvy.

Seems odd I appear to have an older replacement than my original??

My problem was back in Feb 09, dealt with by Fish Brothers Honda in Swindon.
I pushed it with Honda Uk, and Jon Couling was involved I think, I was insisting on complete engine - failed to get that, but gained reassurance they'd take the engine problem into account if I experience future issues.

I've had 2 CTRs and this is my second S2000 - all run in carefully, no vtec for 300 miles but full rev range up to 6k and all gears where speed allows, but with nothing hard - I.e. work the engine but not under big load. Same principle for next 300 miles, but including vtec. Then driven it fairly hard without hitting rev limiter.
None of them have ever used a drop of oil, checked every week.

Any thought on this?? Got lost in the off-topic I think!
