Default Just Letting Off

Two incidents of really crap and dangerous driving require me to vent my ire on the board.

Incident 1: M6 J20 - J17

A red saloon blocking lane 3. I'm just getting to be annoyed with these five young men in the car not keeping up with the traffic and effectively blocking the entire motorway when one of these well bred and thoughtful young people (where's the sarcastic smilie? ) throws a plastic drinks bottle out of the window. It bounces up and hits the middle of the windscreen hard. Sh1t. No damage done though.

Incident 2: Leicestershire back road

I'm just changing down for a nice sweeping left hander, just the kind of bend I like, moving at some speed, when an Alfa appears coming the other way, but he's on my side of the road I hit the brakes hard and think how well the S turns under hard breaking in case this plonker can't get out of the way in time. Driving fast is one thing, but driving fast on the wrong side of the road?

Ok, thanks, Guys, I think I've vented some steam now.

When I read the title, I thought it was about ing . I can't believe someone threw a drinks bottle out - that's really dangerous. Speaking of which, don't you hate it when people throw lit cigarettes out of cars, particulary when the roof is down Sounds to me that you deserve to unwind with a

Throwing bottles and hitting other traffic ? Abolute idiots.

I also agree with Chris - chucking lit cigarettes is really stupid.

That's it we should all fix video cameras to our cars so these wallies can be filmed and prosecuted or in the case of damage to an S hung drawn and quartered.

Bring back corporal punishment.

I don't know why they bother with ashtrays anymore no-one seems to use them for fags (cigarettes to our US brethren).
The state of our roadside verges wrt rubbish embarrasses me - if there were one or two bits here and there I could understand it being a small minority, but the amount that collects down the A34 in particular amazes me. Are there really that many litter louts that can't be bothered to take their rubbish home ?

Sorry to hear of these incidents, I thought it was only me that drove an invisible car !

I took Simmo on a Bank/Pub trip on Friday night and a stupid tw@t in a MK1 Micra just drove out in front of us. I don't usually venture out on a Friday and I was apalled at the general standard of driving, of what were mainly boy racers performing very stupid and dangerous manouevres.
Don't get me wrong, I may be an Old Git but I enjoy fast safe driving(e.g. the rather rapid return home after the Herts meet Thursday was great . ) but these to$$ers seem to have no respect for any other road users.

Simmo has kindly taken me to a few meets some of which have involved a not too slow convoy but everyone seemed aware of what everyone else was up to, and I saw no other road users were put at risk.

Sorry for the rant guys, feel much better now ! Back to the TV and Cocoa.

Take care out there.

Ken
