Hello Chaps

Trying to keep my 2009 S2000 in good shape internally as well as externally. Which leather cleaner and/or conditioner do you use or recommend for the seats (and steering wheel).

Any tips about the best product to use (and how to avoid blocking up the little pores/holes) gratefully received.

The Autoglym cream worked fine for me, and my old car had the Gtechniq stuff all over it which worked brilliantly. The new car (Black MY09) is having the full treatment inside and out too.

As for the "best" product, well, that's as pointlessly subjective as "which is the best oil or tyre to use".

 

I would say the Lexol leaves the seats a bit too shiny, being a Septic product. Plenty of wax in it, though, which is why...does last though.

I use a more matte one from Germany - Liquid Leather in English.

I would disagree with that Nick, used sparingly Lexol gives a superb matte finish, and a perfect clean new car smell afterwards.

I have also used liquid leather which if it's the same product I am talking about smells overly leather, like it's trying too hard to be leather, which i don't like at all.

Each to their own though.
