I used to see this X-1/9 with a sun roof in the targa top.

Whats the front badge?
It looks like a bentley badge
Apparently the previous owner thought it was an Aston Martin badge but Bentley works also. Changed to the original Honda badges within 1st week of ownership

someone has really been pissing around with that car, that badge is worse that the M3 badges often seen on Corsas, and if Honda wanted a sunroof in the hard top, it would have been electric to match the status of the car, put it all back to bog, then if you want to mod it, do it properly.

Wasn't there another recent thread here that mentioned a sunroof fitted to a hardtop - maybe there was a company offering this unless it was the same car before the OP purchased it?

Same car most likely as haven't seen another post about someone having a sunroof and when mentioned everyone wants to see a picture.

My thoughts when I saw it it made a good bargaining tool with the dealer however and I managed to get it for what seemed a good price to allow me to put it back to stock and leave it as Honda intended the sunroof however will be staying

Personally I would just remove the side skirts and those badges to make that car acceptable. Removing the skirts may mean you will have to repaint the car if they have been bonded on with Tiger Seal.

The previous owner was as the dealer put it an interesting character whilst he may have had questionable taste on the bodywork of the car he looked after it mechanically with plenty of receipts to show.
