well some of you may remember me having such cars as
which started out as a turd
then the civic
which again...started out as a bin
Had a bike
which wasn't a bin...but still needing playing with
and more recently an Octy
which was standard and ended up with 280bhp/300lbft
Had several Civics for breaking and a Zafira GSI between times but as you can see i'm one for tinkering. Was getting bored of the Octavia after owning it for nearly 3 years so wanted a change. Did look into a lot of different cars but finally settled for a 2 owner S2000 GT '05. Ticks all the boxes for now. Love the handling of it and the noise reminds me of the old civic. Proper happy with it. Spent yesterday cleaning it up properly, the previous owner was a Grandma so although it had been well looked after it hadn't been loved.
Just waiting for my private plate documents to come back from DVLAa and the front plate holder will be binned off. Already painted the calipers from rust to Metallic Grey.
Plans are coilovers, bushes, set of wheels and breathing mods.
Longer terms plans are possible charger/turbo but we'll see!
First things first..the basics
arches cleaned and brakes painted
coilovers ordered in 2 days of ownership. the OEM shocks rode fine but found the car wallowed a bit in corners. plus it didn't sit right!
got them fitted
arches blasted with pressure washer...took most the oem underseal off...
so started doing it with some better stuff
will do the full car when i have time
shafts out and cv cups swapped sides to avoid any vibrations when lowered. Saved me £100 worth of driveshaft spacers
Little play with height and how the car currently stands

bought some Scooby STI wheels
Private plate on. Smaller front with holes blanked and colour coded. Went for a longer rear as my shorted one looked lost. Font slightly smaller than standard
few coats of wax and standard wheels back on whilst i refurb the subaru's.

Purchased a couple of bits mainly due to the fact i had them on the civic and they made a nice difference
engine torque damper and master cylinder stopper. stops excess movement and for the price of them is a worthwhile thing to do.
Both of which will be sprayed black to blend in. Not into this fancy bling. Will paint the rocker cover whilst im at it too as it's begun flaking. Typical honda wrinkle paint

few from the weekend
OEM wheels are off for refurb as the standard finish is corroding. Refurbed the Enkeis over last few weeks.
Engine damper on, heatshield cut, smoother gear changes and no negative effects. Engine bay pics when i've sorted out my scabby rocker cover

did a nice little trade of some signs for a wheel refurb. nice cheap deal. Finish a high power honda silver, i made the centre cap decal. few coats of wax and i'll shove them back on for winter. Think i'll be keeping the OEM for track wheels as i can get some chunkier tyres and it handles best on these. I'll be selling the black Enkeis next year sometime to fund some better fitting ones, still deciding what's wanted though!
may knock the rear down a few mm too to get it sitting less nose down.
Need to order a full bush kit soon too

so, week off work, been to London, came home to a few parts.
Spoiler,
Is fitted, great colour match and only £60 posted. No pictures fitted as it was going dark. Looks good though...
New knob, wasn't a major fan of the OEM one, intend to bin the red off, fill with blue and polish it up a bit. Fitted for now, feels a lot nicer
New wheel nuts, just awaiting valves and tyres
Also trial fitted wheels to sus out whats needed
Friend will be lending me an arch roller and it'll be going the bodyshop for a few bits as the paint will more than likely crack (if not then happy days but prepared for it)

Boring winter job yesterday, greased all the seals to keep them soft and working as they should.
Had a few drips before i did it, watertight now so well worth doing.
All fluids checked for next weekend, next job on the list to get the rocker cover sorted
