Default London owners: spark plug/oil bolt work

Anyone had their recall work carried out by a London dealer yet? Any feed back?

I haven't received my letter regarding the recall work yet because I suspect (useless) Chiswick Power Honda hasn't registered my car yet... I'll need to check that tomorrow. But then and again I am tempted to take my work there since they seem to be the only NSX approved workshop around these parts....

Boshek,

I had my first service done at Chiswick Honda and then the recall work. The service, in my opinion was second to none. Neil Granger was the service chap I dealt with.

Highyl recommended.

Has anyone on the board used Honda Thames Ditton to do ANY kind of work (especially the recall work)?

What were they like? Can I trust them with my baby?

Thoughts and comments appreciated....

Alan Day (Finchley) did my spark plugs - all fine and dandy - 2 hours work.

Kit,

I see (from the other thread) that you have booked in for the recall work at the end of the month. Hope it goes well and let us know how you get on.

As I suspected, my car hasn't been properly registered so I'll have to wait till that happens before I can get the work done.

I followed the advice & got the recall details by email from Honda UK. My car is registered, so they obviously wait for you to go to them.

If your's hasn't made it onto their system (a simple dealer process), don't hold your breath....

Boshek,

I had the recall work done at the end of September! They had the car there for the day, as I had no intention to try and rush them!! They carried out the work in the morning and I had a phone call at lunchtime telling me that the car was ready to go.

The car was picked up later that day and everything was fine. They installed confidence in me by firstly knowing about the recall!! Some dealers I spoke to seemed less than aware! Secondly, they are an approved NSX outfit as well.

I will definitely use Chiswick Honda in the future. They also offered me a courtesy car, although I didn't rquire one. Great customer service (Neil Granger 0208 9968122).

If they are reluctant then try prodding Honda UK. I spoke to a Paul from Chiswick Honda today and he said that he was aware of the recall work but didn't elaborate on details.

MarkW,

sorry haven't used or heard anything about Thames Ditton....

Have a look at the following:

You'll see a post from Cedric Tomkinson with an image of the letter from Honda.
