CT - good explanation.

I don't mind getting some wheelspin - I would just prefer that both wheels do it at the same time

Surprising thing is that I never managed a tyre screech from launching - felt some funny movement from the back/axle? - but never any complaint from the tyres.

On the mountain it was the biggest shriek I have ever heard - the type you can do in underground carparks with smooth surfaces - Starsky & Hutch style.

It used to be called "axle tramp"

I had that one morning recently when putting the pedal hard to the metal in first on a dry tarmac, slightly uphill, surface at about 2000 rpm. The back end was jumping about like a Mexican jumping bean I lifted off PDQ

I meant to put up a post about it that night but forgot.
