Default Lost radio code

Story is I moved house, used a cheap internet removal company (massive mistake) and a lot of things went missing including the owner's manual etc for my S2K. Just before we moved the S2K battery went flat (boot was left open overnight in the garage) so I took it out to charge it and it was only today that I realised I have "coded the radio". I like to keep the car original so please don't suggest changing the head unit but does anyone know how I can get the code I need? (I had a problem with an old Ford years ago and the dealer took the radio out and got the code from the factory using a number on the back of the radio once I had proved ownership of the car - does anyone know if Honda offer a similar service or if there is an easy way around this?).

Thanks in advance for any constructive comments

Yes they do.

But change the head unit anyway!

I had a similar problem many years ago. I changed the battery and then couldn't find my code. Called in to a local Honda dealer and he unlocked the unit and gave me the code. My recollection is hazy - can't remember whether he accessed a database or input a *secret* sequence to get the unit to reveal the code. But I do remember that he seemed to spend a long time working on the unit.

There are at least two identical threads in the past two weeks with the website listed where to obtain your code. The search function here is dismal but may work.

Sounds interesting - thanks - I'll try to investigate - if I can avoid a dealer visit this will be good

Dealer will probably charge you for the privilege, I got away without paying as I had got them to replace the battery, so they needed the code anyway.
