Thanks for posting that up, that's not a bad price at all for 1 on 1 tuition.
Didn't realise you could do a half day for £350.

I'm planning on a fair few outings this year and this is something I'm seriously considering for later on in the year once I've got to know the new car a bit better.
I thought you were very tidy on the track Lee.

There was often a guy teaching at MSE track days who lives near Swindon way.
He was teaching a lady in an S2000 last time I saw him at Keevil.

And it was way cheaper than £350 for the day.
And TBH, sharing the track with others is no bad thing.
A track is never empty after all, and I find the biggest headache is others lack of traffic awareness.

Scott Mansell is a name that comes to mind.

I think you could get Dixon to do something similar, or Steve from Trackaction or one of the BaT instructors for half a day.

But yep, back OT...

I'm still in a coilover dilemma and not yet ordered anything! Will have a word with myself tonight and bite the bullet

Steve, as you are here... what would be your ultimate setup in terms of ARB's, bushes, links, toe arms and all that malarkey? An area i've never really read into. Last car just had coilovers, braces and hard rear toe bushes.

Ok back home now and some good stuff will be happening over the next 2 weeks

Installed a Spoon venturi TB today... throttle cable was a tiny bit too tight, and got a fright when it rev'd to 4000 on startup

Just going to order new plates (X9 RPM won't be going on this car, saving it for something else ) but wondering if I can get away with a 3/4 plate. The bumper has been drilled for a full sized one though so not sure i'd get around that. Are 3/4 legal?

Lots of updates over the next weeks

How about an offset JDM style/size one?

That could work, Si.

I might just get a normal one and take it off for trackdays.

Got your package today, thanks!

Some new tweaks added over the last few days...

Got the Buddyclub seats in. I decided to get the rails welded as i've heard of a few failing. The welds on them really are gash. Mine are manly

I also modified the driver side gearbox tunnel side rail, by widening the front bolt hole a lot. Won't mean a lot to anyone who hasn't tried fitting these, but basically i've got all 4 points bolted down and have full travel on the seat slider. I had to modify (bend) the slide bar too. Pig of a job but so worth it. One of my favorite mods as it leaves you so connected to the car...

Also got a Mugen alcantara wheel fitted, with a Works Bell boss. Superb, much gripper and chunkier than the OEM one. Solves my sweaty palm issues!

And finally, got an ASM 70mm single pipe fitted, from Tommy at GoTuning. It's not as light as I though, but it's defiantely quiet. I was hoping for a bit more noise but I think once it's got a few miles on it, it will get a bit noisier.

So that's it for today, i've taken a lot of weight out of the car with these mods and added a lot of feel.

Oh, forgot, got front and rear Cusco braces on now too.

Next stop is Dixon this week for some more tweaks

Very nice updates!

Where's your passenger/ECU kick panel?

BTW The exhaust will most likely get quieter as you use it!
