Graham, I'd like to do the ARDS this year but I doubt much more than that. I can imagine there's nothing like racing though, and I will do it!

AJ, there's probably some sneaky NA cars nocking around with more poke than mine, probably some itb and or stroker cars. eSeM's car was probably up there.

I'd suspect Biker1 does have some cams now but not sure. Some cool things in his engine bay!

A long time back he was looking at adjustable cam gears and a custom manifold. He always said that he would come on here some time and let us know what he has done to his car.

Quick pic of the AEM.

There's quite a positive difference in the throttle response, which is odd as the filter element is further from the intake. Impressive. Not as loud though, but i've not given it full beans yet.

Quick pic on someone else's drive. Just started to think the S is looking a little dated - maybe just this picture! It's ears are too big, so might get some Spoon ones.

I'd imagine a slightly better top end if tuned, a long intake tract suits high revving n/a cars. Spent a bit of time with intakes on a guys car, long wide tube yielded the vest gains.

Is that a V2 intake Mark ?

I loved mine, barking mad in VTEC, crisper throttle response and a couple of extra ponies !

Make sure you block over the drainage hole in the bonnet that sits above the filter.

Irv, It will also take out the resonsnace you see when mapping with the K&N. But i'm still a bit puzzled how it sharpens idle throttle response. It's markedly different.

PS - your mum.

Yep, V2, Lee.

It's still a lot quieter than the K&N at lower RPM (still not floored it) but i'm pleased with it. I only have the OEM bonnet on for the winter, then will go to the vented carbon one. Which hole do you mean though?

In the recess in the off side wing where the bonnet sits there is a series of 2 or 3 holes.

From memory they are the size of a 1p piece.

They are to let water drain away and one of them sits directly above the filter on the AEM.

A little bit of heavy duty tape is more than enough to block it off.
