Thanks chaps. Yep a good bit of thought went into the mods. I knew what I wanted before I bought the car and needed to get the bulk of it on before Mase arrived.
Got the brake brace this morning, Loftust, ta Might paint it.
None at all that I can notice, Si. I tried it before fitting the intake. The intake makes a nice subtle growl though (nothing like airbox lid off noise) so atm it's perfect for me.
They are rather good results Mark, J's is the daddies IMO, they are my fav tuning brand along with tracysports .
I have just removed my k&n fipk with snorkle and changed the exhaust from the T1r 63 to a 5zigen single.
Definetly without a shadow of a doubt its not as nippy lower down and not as responsive, according to the wideband its running a little rich but I'm just going to leave it for the timebeing.
Am I right in saying that Honda tuned the car the way they did for a good reason though; longevity of the motor perhaps? In which case is throwing hundreds of £ at such small gains a bit of a false economy?
I can understand the whole FI thing, substantial gains; I can also understand tuning an NA track toy for better response etc but I dont get this whole thing of throwing large amounts of cash at a road car for a mere 10 or so hp.
Perhaps its that folks enjoy the whole mechanical process of squeezing these few drops out?
