Problem is that I cannot stand noisy exhausts Adrian!

The Mugen AP1 I had on my last S was perfect.

The idea behind this car is that it will be totally practical as a road car, but very tasty on the track So noisy bits don't fit.

AJ - it will make no power difference, i'm not claiming it will. It's the response i'm looking for, and someone I know who has had one, who's opinion I respect, highly rates it. I've always been the first to doubt the virtues of a larger TB, but enough people who have them are impressed with the results.

Mark has to throw a few more grand at it yet to make it the perfect machine he's really happy with.

Then he'll be in a position to sell it.

Indeed.

Once mission is complete I will sell it at a total loss

I'm enjoying it though, it's a nice feeling to watch a plan come together.

At least I made some on the Evo

Bigger throttle = more air for same throttle opening = percieved improved throttle response.

Seems pointless, but like you say people do rave about it. Don't know is that is a PJO though (Purchase justification opion).

Rover K series owners also rave about upgrading to a 56mm bore.

you get more throttle responce as you get more opening for degree of movement so it responds quicker, you could de slab the oem TB to make it flow better, not difficult to do just a dremmel and some time, possibly silver solder and a gas torch if you want to take it to its limmits
