Sod's Law says that if you remove the spare wheel the chance of a puncture increases astronomically.
What do you do when it happens? Sqyuirt some foam throught the valve?

Mmm good question. Having driven v low profile tyres for years I reckon you can generally run flat for a short distance due to the strength of the side wall as long as you keep the speed down.
Thinking about it, couldn't I just post up my location and then some helpful S2ki member could pop over and lend me their spare?

I had a puncture at about 500 miles, didnt have a clue what was going on at first, just noticed the car pulled strongly to one side under acceleration, turned out to be a screw left over from some building work that we'd had done

My car had had one rear puncture within the first 4000 miles. The invoice was in the service book (unlike all the important documentation!)
Just thought I'd mention my 200SX went 86000 miles without a puncture, and it's probably still going! The spare/jack set had never been touched! And I did over 50000 miles in the car.

Slow puncture (on rear) at about 3k miles. Now at 10k and nothing since. Tyres at about 6mm rear and 6.5mm front at the 9k service.
NB I have only ever had punctures in cars where I have had a spare tyre - wierd or what!
