Mis-shifting part II
Well after being ridiculed on my other thread, I thought I'd start afresh and give you my findings...
Took the car out today and drove hard - I sped towards a mini roundabout and then heel and toed down to 2nd and floored it whilst going round. The back end cam out and then tucked itself back in again - so damn exhilirating! This was being watched by a pukey yellow boxster waiting to join! hahah!
The gear shifting was very very smooth (touch wood) - no notchiness and no sign of ANY crunching. I floored the car from a stand still to red and then quick shifting into 2nd - no problems.
I held the revs at 8900rpm for a few seconds and then clutch in and slammed 2nd in - no problems.
I can safely conclude that it was my stupid shifting on Sunday! On my way home I noticed I didn't depress the clutch fully going into second and the gear dropped in but felt as if I slotted it in rather than it taking it's own course. Lazy left foot I guess.
Anyway, everything is back to normal - no more sleepless nights.
This is for you CC
