Default Missing Bolt?

Just in the process of changing my TCT. At least, I will do when it cools down.

Next to it there's a threaded 'ole in t'engine where you'd imagine a bolt would go. Can anyone tell me if my engine is going to fall to bits, or if everyone's is like that?

Ta.

They are all like that. This is where the bracket for engine torque dampers are usually fitted.

I've given up on all that engine bay cleaning now. The paint is flaking off like nobodies business, and cleaning just makes it worse. Might get round to polishing it one day. Oooh, shiny.

Martin, they make a little bit of difference but nothing to write home about.

In a nutshell, gearchanges are slightly smoother and when putting your foot down (on/off) it feels more direct.
