Default Trouble removing s2000 transmission

I ran into a problem while removing the transmission. The driverside top bolt is in a crazy spot and I'm using about 3' of extensions to get it, but the impact won't take it off at full force. Is there some way to get to it?

to get to that bolt you must rock the transmission and use a 1/2 air gun.

I never did a transmission/clutch change, but I did do an engine swap without utilizing a car lift(only using jackstands and a jack) I ran into the same problem as you did(because you have to take the transmission out before you can pull out the engine). It was an easy task accessing all of the hard to reach transmission bolts from the top of the engine bay after taking off the engine off the engine mounts and slightly lifting up the engine and transmission up a little with an engine hoist. Make sure you don't break the knock sensor while taking out the top 14 mm starter bolt. Oh, and after taking out all bolts, make sure you pull out that fork that connects to the throw out bearing.

The extensions drop the power of the gun

You have the sub frame dropped right?

I got both off with a ⅜ ratchet and a 6" extension without a problem

3' is wayyy too long. Youre better off attaching the extension to a breaker bar

Use a breaker bar.have someone hold the socket in so you don't strip the bolt.
