The front lights were quite easy compared to the rears.
The rears I did were with the heat gun method and it worked well until I dropped one and it cracked the lens, (did another)
The only thing is, is that the temps have to be so high to seperate the lens from the backing that you disstort the backing as you pull them apart, they were the Mk1's.
Mk2's versions were, get 4 rear lights and dremmel the lens out of two and then get the other two and dremmel the backs out of them, then paint.
You then have 2 bodies and 2 lenses which you join together (finished)
Lots more involved but I'll not go into that.
Currently there on Brians Marshalls car as I had a different idea which I liked when I'd done them, so Brian got them.
Cheers Nigel! The rear light cluster on your S reminds me of a skyline (not sure if you consider that a good or a bad thing!). You've got a lot of patience!
biker1 - are those the Gears covers? Looks very cool on your car - I'd only seen them on a yello wcar which looked a bit shite but yours looks very nice.

A mod for the daring...
Thanks, yes they are but like most "body" mods there sold as if they can go straight on after painting and in theory they can, but they wont fit correctly, look like a "Harry Moss" add on and will most likely fall off!
After carefully altering them and re-doing the fixings they now fit perfect and imo look part of the car.
