Default Moving from an AP1 to an AP2

Toying with the idea of doing it and want some opinions.

I have a rock solid forum car from another member with a clifford alarm and a PRM. With less than 40k miles.

But

I have always wanted a Royal Navy Blue, 2004 model onwards. Mainly because of the look.

I think it might take 4k to make the upgrade.

Any opinions on whether you think it would be worth it vs experience of driving an AP2 and the hassle etc of upgrading?

Tks.

Its not a specific car. But none of them do in the UK I thought.

How much will you be selling your AP1 for?

I think you might be getting confused between MY and AP.

No AP2 in the UK

I found the MY04 too soft compared to my early car. So I kept mine.

MY08 might be worth trying

The only engine you can get in an AP2 is the 2.2, all uk cars are AP1.

But I know what you mean, you want the facelift. It's a newer car, the chassis is stiffer, the stock suspention is slightly softer and more biased toward understeer, with better anti-bump steer stability. The interiors a bit nicer, and the revised engine internals mean it doesn't use oil. Some folk say it's too soft, but it does a faster slalom, and a faster lap of tsukba than the earlier car.

I'd say it's a worth while upgrade. Probably worth test driving one first.
