Default UK AP1/2 - F20C

i've had a search around the forum but i couldn't find anything specific to the UK.

is it true that both UK AP1's and 2's have F20C's in them? i've read Honda didn't give the UK market the F22C?

thanks in advance.

sorry if it's a repost, i did search

UK didn't get the F22C no.

AP1/AP2 - chassis, AP2 debuted worldwide in 2004
F20C/F22C - engine, F22C debuted in North America in 04, Japan in 05, and Europe... never

But Honda never officially released the AP2 chassis as an AP2 in Europe, they are all listed as AP1 to avoid regulation testing even though they are revised.

Thinking of civic's and crx's, that's what they always do, they only change chassis code when the engine changes.

The letters usually refer to the bodystyle & the number the powertrain option;

FN1 Civ Type S

FN2 Civ Type R

FK1 Cive 5 door with a hairdrier

etc.

It gets confusing with 'Ludes;

BB1-4 4th Gen

BB5-8 5th Gen in spite of a substantial reskin.

NSXs are clearer;

NA1; 3.0

NA2; 3.2
