I'm assuming that you're using the alarm keyfob and not the original Honda one, in which case it's supposed to do that if you press the button twice in rapid succession. I've never done it accidentally and can only do it intentionally about 50% of the time.

Does anyone have the digital dexterity to do it every time?

I've got the Honda Cat1 alarm. I can now open the boot every time. First disarm the alarm in the usual way. Watch the lights flashing. Within 3 seconds of the last flash, press the disarm button again and Bingo!!!This will vary from alarm to alarm and it seems to be less predictable on some systems.

RTFM!!! I got hold of a manual for the Honda alarm, then found that it didn't work. Even after they fitted the relay, it still only works randomly. It's one of those things the dealer has never fixed.

i figured this out only the other day!!! i was soooo annoyed that there wasnt a button on the alarm fob (there is on the original fob) cos its an option that i wanted for convenience. i was in a car park where there must have been some sort of block on the signals because the alarm wasnt disarming...so there i was hammering away on the alarm fob, i was pressing the button so quickly that i was still pressing after the car had unlocked...and voila!! the boot popped open!!
i tried it again and again and again.....drove home with a big grin on my face....well, a bigger one than the usual VTEC grin

.....other drivers must think im crazy....im always smiling...but then they wouldnt understand cos they drive fiestas...they dont know what we all know....driving is fun!!

There is a separate button on the JDM key fob for opening the boot. I guess that since we don't have alarms it is easier to sort.

My remote does not open my boot because the people who fitted the alarm (not my local dealer) were a bunch of **ssers. They even fitted the rear wind protector on backwards! Unfortunately, whilst the latter problem was easy to fix, the former is not.
