My S2000 "Lucy"
Hey everyone!
I wanted to start a thread here to share the journey of owning my S2000. It's been quite a change coming from an Abarth, but I'm absolutely loving every moment with the car.
Let me introduce you to Lucy, my 2003 Nurburgring blue S2000. She has a faded UK S2000 owners club sticker on her, a clear sign that she was in good hands in her past.
Lucy with the sky...
Since I got her, I've taken Lucy down to TGM in Fleet for a service, valve clearances and a much needed aircon regas. I've also taken care of some small tasks myself, like replacing the cabin filter and windshield wipers.
In this thread, I hope to share my experiences with the car, creating a diary that can be enjoyed by future owners. Additionally, I want to provide helpful documentation for any modifications I make, so others can easily follow along!
Here are a few things I'm currently working on for Lucy - I'll edit this thread with updates and dates as they're finished

Here are a few things I'm currently working on for Lucy - I'll edit this thread with updates and dates as they're finished
- Installing a small subwoofer under the passenger seat
Adding a rear view mirror dash cam/reverse camera combo unit with a hardwire kit.Done as of 03/07/23 - Posted below- Printing and installing 3D-printed rear fog light brackets.
- Gathering quotes for dual rear arch replacements in the South of the UK. While the car is in great shape, I want to be prepared for winter and ensure it's well-protected with undersealing (If anyone has anywhere they recommend that would be great!)

Hey everyone,
I have some small updates to share. A friend of mine helped me out by 3D printing replacement rear fog light brackets. We opted for a high-strength and heat-resistant plastic material and they feel great. I haven't installed them yet because TGM put the fog light back in during the service, I'll definitely switch to these brackets if the fog light comes loose.
On another note, I decided to take a shot at repairing the driver's side bolster wear. I must say, it has turned out remarkably well! I'm really pleased with the results
Rear Fog Light Brackets
Bolster Wear - repaired
Previous Bolster Wear - drivers side

I used this:
It goes on a bit too dark so I made sure to wipe away any excess and blend it thinly with the surrounding area. In-between coats I used a leather cleaner and separate conditioner, GT11 and GT12 in my case, which seemed to help build up a bit of strength to the applied coat - hope this helps!

One of my best friends asked me to take her to her wedding in Lucy - weather was perfect - will absolutely post more pictures when the photographer edits them in the coming weeks
