Default Need Help S2000 Advice

Ok first things first heres the car.

Does anyone on here know this car?
Its not perfect, but its in my price range.

A few questions

Exhausts are totally black (Not just on tips), is this just because they burn so much oil + do you think if no one has ever cleaned them they will be possible to clen up?

There is a crack in the front valance which is a very poor colour match anyway. Does anyone know if this should just come off to reveal the orginal bumper?

The engine bay looks fairly clean with only some whiteish residue around the engine block, is this normal, to be honest they have only just taking it PX and have not cleaned it yet, most S2000 I see advertised seem to have immaculate engine bays but I assume this is because they get them steamed before they advertise.

Finally a few of tyes have very little tread how much are we talking for a good set of new rubbers?

+1 on posting in UK. But a couple comments. The front valance (aka OEM front spoiler) is a bolt-on. It can easily be removed for repair or replacement (new OEM ones are around $350 us). I wouldn't worry much about the residue in the engine bay. If you want to put your mind at ease, get a leak-down test. The stock tires for these cars aren't cheap, you'll be pushing $1k us for a new full set. There are alternatives out there but the stock are very good.

Exhaust needs cleaning , do a search i think hypersonic did a thread recently on how to, the tips do come off.

The front "valance" is a honda oem lip spoiler and yes it does come off , either get it repaired or leave it off.

Clean the engine bay and keep an eye out for any leaks.

Tyres most go for bridgestone RE050a as these replaced the S02's your looking at around

Was this from George White Supercars?

Tips will clean up with some polish / brasso - keep an eye on the oil level and see how much they soot up again.

It's normally just where it's running a bit rich.

Picture of the engine block would be good.
