If you can get a look at the throttle pot (the potentiometer, the thing that tells the ECU how open the throttle butterfly is) then you ought to be able to source just that component, and since it's a simple potentiometer, it should be peanuts.

The problem comes when honda build them in to the whole assembly and make you buy the unit as a whole - ask the stealer if you can take a look at the assembly off the car and see if you can work out if you can remove the pot itself.

Does this mean that you might have said part? What would you be looking for it?

I might get them to remove the throttle body and sensors so that I can drop by and pick it up to examine whats involved in fiddling with it. Has anyone got pics of the S2000 Throttle body and TPS to hand?

BTW, service manual says the TPS is not removable, so you'll be looking at a complete throttle body.

Btw, can I ask how you came to have all these spare bits? Did you have an engine let go and if so what was the failure? PM if you want to keep it non-public

Yeah, my engine went a couple of months back, so have a fair few bits spare obviously minus the head and main block.

I haven't had time to take pics and post a for sale thread yet.
