If you are stuck I have a TB I could probably let you have ...... for a reasonable price (would probably want to hold onto the MAP sensor though)

Fitting it is not difficult. There is a 'how to' on how to replace the TB somewhere on here.

Currently negotiating with Mytse but you are Reserve1 steven

At the moment all Honda have done is pull the code so I'm guessing that

Took me about half an hour to replace mine IIRC. Someone that knows what they are doing should be able to do it in 15min .... including a 5min tea break

Was it essentially plug-n-play? I'm expecting something like this:

- Disconnect intake pipe
- Disconnect any sensor connections
- Undo bots and remove throttle assembly
- Stomp on throttle assembly
- Take new throttle assembly with new gasket and fit
- Fit new MAP (which I have) sensor with O-ring
- Connect sensor inputs
- Connect intake pipe
- Check
- ECU reset (prob not required but just to be sure)
- Idle learn
- Drive
- Vtec
- Smile

Am I missing anything?

After installation, adjust throttle cable.

Just follow the manual I'll be sending to you as well.

That's pretty much the sequence, but I would check the ECU for other error readings first. There's often a simple reason as to why a throttle actuator has failed.

Honda said the CEL was caused by failure of the TPS are you suggesting that upon solving that problem I may be faced with another underlying problem that caused the initial TPS failure?

I think it could be possible, something has prob. broken the resistance in the potenttiometer. You've got a new Map sensor - great, but there's so much information stored in the ECU that sometimes its easy to scroll through and miss the root cause failure of the tps (check). I hope for your sake its just a simple break down of the pot, but there could be interfacing issues that drove this. Your car's only 3 years old & prob done less than 50k, it really shouldn't break this early even if you drive it hard and its got very hot.

What could 'break' the TPS sensor though?
