Unhappy Need Your Help Please Guys!

Hi Guys,

As some of your know Ive only been an S owner for a few weeks now, and are loving every minute of it.

The only thing is, I cant decide what to buy for her 1st, and Ive only got enough money left over for one or the other, so what would you buy? : -

Official Honda Car Cover (I have no Garage)

A private plate (S2000 ***)

Let me know what you would buy considering winter is on its way, and private plates can get snatched up at christmas.

If you cover your car outside it could get scratched by a cover especially if its put away dirty.

Unless your only rarely using the car and only covering it when clean I wouldn't bother with a cover.

I wouldn't get a plate either they're too pretentious

Mine lived outside for two years.

It was washed and polished rugularly, I drove 70K miles and when I traded it in I was complemented on the condition of the car.

I'd forget the car cover.

I don't think you can buy a plate of the format S2000 xxx

Can I ask what plugs you have in your bumper either side of the plate? I have some that I knocked up myself in mine but they don't look quite as good.

Sorry, don't mean to hi-jack the thread.

Go for the plate IMO.

Yeah, sorry didn't want anybody to know the full reg in case they nicked it lol .

The only reason Ive been considering a cover is to protect the hood, and I dont want a hard top, although I have a bit of OCD when cleaning cars regular.

go for the plate, get a more personal plate liky A7DY W, always good to see a nice car with your own plate on. Best option is to buy one with the other halfs name on, gets you serious browne points, ive got VKY. you may put the cover on a few times but you will soon get bored. also if you put a cover on a dirty car it can do more harm than good.

Hmmm, the cover is looking less already. I have a private plate already for the wife, but thats on her car, and really want an S2000 plate, as I feel it complements the car.

Anybody had problems with weathered hoods? Ive just cleaned and protected mine with ragg top last weekend.

Do we have more than 5 days snow these days?

Living outside is no problem for the S. The Honda official car cover is not suitable for outdoors covering IMO. It'll blow off in the wind and it scratch the car unless clean.

Mine lived outside for one year through a winter and I then had a garage built for it!
