Default New brake discs

Hi, just received new Bremtech brake discs from Brakeparts, the discs are coated in an oil of some sort, obviously to prevent rust. I have a can of Halfords brake cleaner which says it "removes brake dust", will this product be adequate to remove the oil or what do I need to use? The pads have arrived from Si as well, so going to fit at the weekend. Got some Red Rubber grease and copper grease for the job too. I must say the service from Brakeparts was excellent BTW, can even track where the courier is on Google earth. Si excellent service as always.

Yes brake cleaner should shift it,
I would not use copper grease though its shite get some Ceratec its quite cheap and much better you can use it on the slider pins and back of the pads

Brake cleaner will be fine, just spray on and rub with a cloth

Drilled and grooved = cracked and busted, unless you are tracking regularly and therefor replacing them regularly stick to plain discs, perfectly good for road use and the occasional track outing.
